I've decided that inappropriate pseudo-crushes, while absolutely mortifying at times, are at the end of the day, amusing and sort of fun. And since Professor McDreamy is sadly not here this year, I've been without a person in a position of authority (imagined though it may be) to moon over.

Until today.

However, because I did learn one lesson from the McDreamy saga, this time around not a single hint as to his identity will be given (other than the fact that he's a he). Indeed, after this post, he will ne'er again be mentioned on this blog. That should avoid any awkward conversations down the line. So, I have only two things to say before I stop discussion on the matter:

1. It's his eyes.

2. *swoon*

Okay, it's out of my system now. I'm sure you all will stay awake at night wondering who the new McDreamy is.

Yeah, so Prof McDreamy has read this blog. On the one hand, it's not surprising. He was nominated for an award, after all. And I'd already known that some other professors had stopped by before, so of course it's highly likely that the professors mentioned here would have been linked to the blog by someone or another. And that's fine. No biggie. I try to behave myself and not post anything bad here anyway, so it's not a problem.

The problem is that McDreamy also figured out who I was. And now knows that I've called him McDreamy. Thankfully, he got the Grey's Anatomy reference and didn't think I was some weird stalker or anything. But, he knows that I've called him McDreamy. I now have to sit in his class for the remainder of the semester knowing that he knows that I've called him McDreamy.

I've done some embarrassing things in my life, but I did not know that this kind of mortification actually existed. I really want to cry. And eat Thin Mints.

I don't think I've ever been as thankful for blind grading as I am right now.
