March
March comes in like a lion, but here at the AC, it came in like a Mad Dog as the Jammie Awards continued and then got a little heated. A&F then came and went, and I had a hard time getting back into things, but luckily Spring Break was just around the corner, only it wasn't getting there quick enough. One parting song parody, and it was time for some much-needed Spring Break</a>.
Eight days later, I found myself alone and depressed, but even more depressing was the fact that I went to the TCL and read for McDreamy's class to comfort myself. The following day made for more interesting class reading, as it was the first day of Sexuality and the Law, a class that I predicted I'd get an easy A+ in. Little did I know that it would actually be my lowest grade in law school ever, but hey. That's just how things go sometimes.
On March 24, I found out that I wasn't alone in having silly crushes on professors, and two days later it was SBA election season, and things were about to get ugly (although not nearly as ugly as they got over at W&V's place).
But I had more important things on my mind, as the single most embarrassing moment of my life occurred as the McDreamy saga continued. Perhaps one of these days I'll post exactly how that convo went down, but it'll have to wait until I'm farther removed from it. And no, a year is not enough time. And after that post, the rest for the month (and arguably for the year) just paled in comparison.
But fear not, dear readers, because April was still to come and with it, the Dean Deathmatch. (Although, I never did do the claymation like I promised.)

As the end of 2006 draws near, I want to sit a reflect a bit about this whirlwind of year. I though about doing one big post, but I've got nephew duty today, and we spent the morning curing a little cancer and then did a baby Santa photo shoot (a picture later if his mom doesn't object), so I only have time for a month or two while he naps (curing cancer wears the little guy out!). So now, I bring you... January.
January
January started off the way it should: with a back to school party and a $2500 tab that we drank in less than 45 minutes. Possibly one of my proudest moments in law school. A few days later, I made a throwaway post that turned into a saga, and Professor McDreamy makes his first appearance on Amicus Curiae.
Life was not to be all fun and silly crushes, however, as John Ramington, my favorite law librarian, sadly passed away. And though it's been nearly a year, the library just hasn't been the same since.
Towards the end of the month, it became clear that any job woes Little did I know then, as a 2L who still had Spring OCI to look forward to, just how woeful and ridiculously drawn-out my job search would be. Although the fact that I posted about it twice in one day should have tipped me off.
Lastly, a new professor at the law school kicked off a little discussion in the comments when she banned laptops from her contracts class.
February
Which brings us to February, where I was beginning to suspect hard financial times in the future. To help pay for the costs of running AC, I considered corporate sponsorship. Then, as sort of a belated birthday gift, A3G returned to Underneath Their Robes.
Hope springs eternal or something like that, and I was totally pumped about the one interview I snagged during Spring OCI. Obviously didn't get the job, but I couldn't know that then.
Meanwhile, love was in the air. Or, rather, desperation was. And so my sister tied the knot and got a birthday cake to celebrate (this post is only important for those people who feel like doing the math between the wedding and birth of nephew). I didn't have a beau, so I ended up going to prom with my friends, but was robbed of prom queen.
Valentine's Day arrived, and I became a bit of a fashionista Or not. I also purchased Season 1 of Grey's Anatomy, and became friends with Mike from Barely Legal.
Late February brought the biggest even ever hosted on the AC: The Joe Jamail Awards for Excellence in Legal Education.
And right after that, I did OCI Round 3. Ugh. Luckily, I had Jammie nominations to keep my mind off my lack of job.
Casino Night was lots of fun, but there was no time to rest afterward because The Jammies needed to be awarded. And awarded. And award them I did, even if Buffalo Wings & Vodka robbed me of one award.
And with that, February ended.
