In other news... Ruth fails the bar exam.
Thank you, J.K. Rowling. Would it have killed you to push that date back two weeks?
*sobs*
EDIT: On second thought, Bar Bri should be over with by then, so I can easily take the night off, read it in one go, and get back to it. It can be done. It can be done.

I predict a Study break for Ruthie. . .
But there is no way I can wait until after the exam to read it. I just don't have that kind of discipline.

As I say on my blog, I honestly think that taking a break from studying, and reading the book, is the only viable solution. Otherwise, it's almost inevitable that you will find out how the book ends... someone WILL spoil it, somehow, somewhere. Especially if Harry dies, because if so, that will be an absolutely huge cultural event. The news will be EVERYWHERE; it will be almost impossible to avoid. And even if you cut yourself from all human contact, the Internet, etc., from July 21 until taking the bar... you still have to take the bar, at which point you run a very serious risk of overhearing conversations that you don't want to overhear, and learning That Which Must Not Be Learned. The worry and distraction of it all would, I think, be much more damaging to your (and my) bar-exam hopes than just taking half a day and reading the damn book.
So in other words, I don't think there's any shame in being "undisciplined" and reading the book. I actually think that is the rational course of action. :)
